In Loving Memory of

Gordon Frank Borland

09/30/1946 - 03/19/2026

It is with very heavy hearts as we announce the passing of Gordon Frank Borland at the age of 79. He passed peacefully in his home on March 19, 2026.

Gordon was born on September 30, 1946, in San Antonio, Tx. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Mae Borland and Orville Borland and sister Patricia Neumann.

Gordon is survived by his four children, Melissa A. Barber, Christopher G. Borland, Frank J. Borland, and Susan M. Borland and son-in-law Austin R. Barber. As well as his grandchildren, Scott O. Russell, Jasmine A. Russell, Jonathon R. O'Guin, Brandon A. O'Guin, Kristen Borland, Madison Borland, and Noah Borland and seven great grandchildren. Gordon was also survived by his nieces, Debby James, Denise Hamilton, and nephew Tommy Neumann.

He will forever be remembered for the love he had for recording and playing music. Gordon was an avid steel guitar and keyboard player. He was always grateful for the career and family he had with Alamo Music Center. The Flores family always treated Gordon and us children as family. He played in bands and the band we remember was Buckshot Band with Brad Hughes, Deano Stevens, and Alan Johnston.

After retirement, Gordon started up his own Santa Clause website. He loved being Santa to everyone of any age. He loved making people smile and laugh.

He will be missed by many friends, including his lifelong best friends C.W. and Mary Pryor.

His children and grandchildren will always remember the jokes he told and the advice he gave. Gordon will forever be missed by his family and friends and has settled peacefully with our Father in Heaven.

Dad, we will always be grateful for the love and time you gave us kids. We love you and you will never be forgotten.
