Oscar R. De Lira was born September 11, 1957. He was the only child between Pedro De Lira and Elena Renteria. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother on his Mom's side Jesse Peck, and his granddaughter Star D. Garcia. He is survived by his siblings on his Dad's side: Ricardo De Lira, Luz De Lira, Anita De Lira and Vicki De Lira. He leaves behind his 6 children, Genevieve De Lira, Nicholas De Lira, Jennifer-Lee, De Lira-Garcia, Oscar De Lira Jr, Pete-Earl De Lira and Stephanie-Luz De Lira-Cauvel. He also has carried all his grandchildren in his heart as well as all his nieces and nephews.

Oscar grew up on the Westside of San Antonio where he graduated from Lanier High School in 1977. He worked at Little Red Barn as well as other places until he found his place Christus Santa Rosa Northwest as an anesthesia tech for over 16 years. He then changed jobs to the Texsan Heart Hospital for a years until he went back to Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills until he got sick and had to retire for good.

He spent his remaining years trying to be a good Christian in helping as many friends and family as he was capable of. He treated all he came in contact with as family. He leaves behind a legacy of Love, Friendship and Kindheartedness.
