Judy was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. She served in many capacities over the years including Altar Guild, Lay Reader, Choir, Meals on Wheels, teaching Sunday School, Stephen Ministry, and generally assisting any other needs she could fill. Judy and former spouse, The Rev. Richard M. Olson had 4 children: Susan, James, Kristine and David. They had 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Judy became an LPN/LVN and was a much-loved nurse and the favorite of her patients. She graduated first in her class in Hanover, Pennsylvania receiving all of the highest awards given. While there, she also volunteered with both the Red Cross doing blood drives in the area, and the American Cancer Society driving many patients for treatments and various kinds of appointments.

Judy then moved to Eastham, Massachusetts, where she also worked as a nurse. She retired in 2006, in Eastham, Massachusetts. While on Cape Cod, she loved a morning at the beach with coffee and donuts shared with family. She then moved to Raleigh, NC, where she enjoyed living near her daughter, Kristine, and son, David and his family. While there, she was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she also served all those around her in any way she could, such as giving friends who could no longer drive rides to church and to appointments. She loved to knit, embroider, cross stitch, and work puzzles. She enjoyed the last six years of her life with her son James and his family in San Antonio, Texas.

She is survived by her four children and their families: Susan Moul and her husband, Jason, of Glenville, PA, James Olson and his wife, Annie, of Helotes, TX, Kristine Maassen, of St Paul, MN, and David Olson and his wife, Katie of Raleigh, NC, and two of her sisters: Janet Axelson and her husband, Bruce of Worcester MA, and June Stimson and her husband Paul of Rochdale, MA, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
