Gordon L. “GoGo” Chesnutt, 56 of Streator, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator have been entrusted with arrangements.
Gordon was born February 7, 1969 in Rushville, a son of Virgil L. and Marilyn L. (Stoneking) Chesnutt.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn L. Ragan of Streator; his father, Virgil (Karina) Chesnutt of Lehigh Acres, FL; a daughter, Brittany Snyder of Jacksonville; three granddaughters; two brothers, Virgil (Amy) Chesnutt Jr. of Aurora, and John (Clarissa) Chesnutt of Cornell; a sister, Crystal (Brian) Britton of Sheridan; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Gordon’s significant other, Pam Herrin of Mt. Sterling.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Caspar Chesnutt; and a niece, Tiffany L. Fisher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
