I'm so sorry to hear about Gordon's passing. We just heard now. We would have liked to have come to the memorial service. "Groff" was our wedding photographer and friend. He was also my family's photographer for our family reunions. We were neighbors too. He would stop in for Halloween and New Year's Eve when we first moved in down the street. Please accept our deepest condolences. He will be greatly missed. We will be praying for your family at this time. Jeremy and Robin Nace

I have many fond memories of Gordon as part of Tomencin youth group. He added a lot of life, fun, and laughter at our retreats and other gatherings. My most recent encounter with him was went he was a patient at GVH and I visited him as a chaplain. I had been wondering how he was doing and on Sunday 7/5/ I found out he died. To all the family our condolences.

Always a smile, always friendly, always caring. Gordon had his talent for teaching, for photography and for friendship. I see his work hanging above my desk everyday. His creative spirit was unique. We had a special friendship because out birthdays were one day apart. He said, mine was the day before his, and I said, his was the day after mine. I am truly sorry for your loss and for the loss of my creative spirited friend.

I remember Gordon's friendly smile and laughter, and his sharing of photos he took of our unsuspecting family members at various events. His love of children endeared him to many. He was also great at acting, but was humble about being the center of attention. He often came to church early and stayed late to make sure his classroom and lesson was just as he wanted it. One could always count on Gordon to be there for children in whatever way he was needed. We will miss him.

My boys were lucky enough to have Gordon as a Sunday school teacher a few years ago. They would often come home and tell us about their class and what snack they had that day (that was very important to them :)). Gordon was always welcoming and ready with a smile. He will be missed.

I got to know Gordon when he photographed the Christopher Dock Golf Tournament a number of years ago. He was professional, fun, easy to work with, and I considered him a friend. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
