Gordon A. Gunterman, 66, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 12:09 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at his residence.
He was born November 1, 1958, in Peoria, IL to Eugene and Frances (Hancock) Gunterman. He married Christine M. Hoben on April 14, 1984 in Witchita Falls, TX.
Surviving are his wife, Christine of East Peoria; son, Ryan (Jessica) Gunterman of East Peoria; grandchildren, Bradyn, Carson, and Ariel; and siblings, Sanday Miller and Jeannie Palomares both of Florida, and Doris "Dolly" Gunterman of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Rosie and Karen Seaton.
Gordon retired from the U.S. Air Force working as a weapons loader on the Stealth Air Force F-117 Black Sheep. He was a member of the Spring Bay American Legion Post #1115 and a member of the East Peoria Boat Club since 2004. Gordon enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, and was a Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved his 1967 Dodge Charger.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the East Peoria Boat Club with military honors accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
