Gordon J. Korb, age 80 of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born on May 17, 1945, to the late John and Esther (Quammen) Korb in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps, and served his country during the Vietnam War, returning home in July of 1967. Once home, he went to work with his brother in the IT department at JCPenney. On January 15, 1972, he married the love of his life, Janet Holter, who preceded him in death on May 26, 2019. Gordon enjoyed reading and collecting coins. He had a quiet sense of humor making everyone around him laugh and feel at ease.
He is survived by his children; Matthew (Tammy) Korb, Jason (Cynthia) Korb and Thomas Korb, grandchildren; Rebecca and Henry and his brother, Robert (Barbara) Korb. Gordon is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents and wife Janet.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere from noon until 1pm, with a memorial prayer service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Gordon’s name are appreciated.
