GORDON L. MITCHELL
Age 94, of New Lenox, passed away on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at Lightways Hospice House in Joliet. b
Gordon is survived by his loving family, children, Mark (Mindy) Mitchell, Patti (Tom Cannell) Mitchell, Paul (Elizabeth Duberman) Mitchell, Laura (Timothy) Meagher, Nicole (Brian) Noonan, daughter in-law, Peggy Mitchell, grandchildren, Nigel Mitchell, Matthew Vardy, Nicholas Vardy, Aaron Mitchell, Kelly Gazdowicz, Katelyn Delboy, Sean Mitchell, Logan Swartz, Lee Swartz, Ian Meagher, Liam Meagher, Abigail Noonan, Jack Noonan, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephew, Cathy Hoff, April (Arthur) Bergeson and Jason Hoff.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mitchell (Stamper), son, Stephen Mitchell and daughter, Lisa Swartz.
Gordon was an avid fisherman. He was a lover of dogs and spending time with his family.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 from 5:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to any animal shelter would be appreciated.
