Gordon Peery Obituary

Gordon Franklin Peery Sr.

In Loving Memory

Jacksonville, Oregon-GORDON FRANKLIN PEERY, SR.

Born on December 8, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Latter-Day Saints Cleopha and Max Peery, Gordon Franklin Peery Sr. peacefully passed away in the home he designed and built in Oregon just before 4:00PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, with his wife Angelika Maria Peery and their three children nearby. Beloved husband of Angelika, father of Mark, Gordon and Reiner, grandfather of Andrew, Allison, Megan, Amanda, and David, Gordon Sr. is survived by his wife Angelika, brother Allen, sons, grandchildren and other relatives. While in intermountain architectural circles Gordon Sr. was regarded as the finest architectural photographer, he also designed and built his parents' home, remodeled his home for his children during their childhoods and later designed, and nearly single-handedly built the magnificent home in which he passed. When he wasn't designing and building homes, he was engaged, professionally and in his own time, in photography, building furniture, designing and casting jewelry and other first rate creations. The consensus of those who knew Gordon Sr. is that he was a visionary and ambitious man who was truly a remarkable individual with an exemplary work ethic.

My husband was Ralph Evans, and we knew Gordon as an exceptional creator of art. I have several of his photographs here in my home, and they bring me pleasure every day. Thank you, Gordon. Mildred Evans
