At the prime age of 60, Gordon William Petersen passed away in the company of his wife, Barbara Petersen on April 5, 2023 in Ogden, Utah. He was born on September 6, 1962 in Ogden, Utah to Darlen Cook Marble and Gordon Alfred Petersen.
Gordon was a very proud, loving father, grandpa, and husband. He loved spending time with family and friends whether it was playing an instrument or singing at the local Karaoke bar. He loved animals, pastels, making art with his wife, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed bowling, playing a game of pool or working on computers and phones for his friends. He had a kind, generous heart and was someone you could always count on.
He worked at Cross Action Computers for 15 years along with other odd jobs.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Barbara Petersen; his sons, Dakota Petersen and Jacarie Samone Petersen; stepson, Chris Zierenberg; daughters, Misty Star, Amber Neilsen, Phelisha Barnes, and Karolynn Petersen; and stepdaughter, Cassie Zierenberg; grandchildren, Sylvia and Brayden Star, Emma and Karl Barnes, Everly Lujan, Destiny Ornelas, Kayden Smith, and Ian and Seth Zierenberg; and his siblings, Richard Petersen, Bonnie Adame, Nina Bouldware, and Donna Stockman. He was met at Heaven’s doors by his parents; Dakota’s mom, Marjorie; his granddaughter, Emberlynn Lujan; and his sister, Deborah Freedle.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
