77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2025, in Wichita, KS. He was born on April 2, 1947, in Wichita, Ks to Judson H. and Phyllis H. (Rose) Ramsey. He proudly served in The United States Navy for 6 years after high school. Gordon was self- employed for 52 years as a technician working on mechanical music machines, player pianos, and organs. In his lifetime he also was employed by Joyland to maintain Louie and the band organ, the Player Piano Company, MycroTek, Collins Avionics, and the City of Wichita. In his retirement, one of his greatest joys and accomplishments was designing, building and donating to Botanica the band organ that can now be heard playing beside the carousel. He continued to maintain the Botanica band organ until his passing. It was his dream that band organ music could be heard and enjoyed by current and future generations. He was also involved in numerous organizations and clubs related to aviation and railroading.
He married Cathlyn J. Campbell (nee Pape) on Aug. 15, 1987. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allan Ramsey. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cathlyn Ramsey, Wichita, KS; stepchildren, Dale Campbell and Francine Campbell, both of Wichita, KS; siblings, Gilbert (Meg) Ramsey, Conyers, GA and Christopher (Wanda) Ramsey, Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Michelle Campbell, Anthony Campbell, Steven
Campbell and Jenny Campbell; 6 great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. Services are pending at a later date
