Gordon Douglas Shimasaki, 63 of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Knight and Pastor Danny Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the Funeral Home.
Gordon was born on September 22, 1959, in Fort Benning, GA; son to the late James and Yoshiko Shimasaki. He was a member of the Mosaic Church in Clarksville, TN. He was semi bass pro fishman, an Eagle Scout, avid hunter, and a collector of Indian Artifacts. Gordon was a strong believer in Christ and was an example of Christ's love. He helped feed the hungry, supported the poor, and was always a light for Christ.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Rose Schell.
Survivors include his daughter, Angelia Barnes; brothers, Daniel (Leslie) Shimasaki, Manuel (Fay) Shimasaki; sisters, Doris (Mike) Senters, Daisy (Andy) Whitten, Rita (Ronald) Koontz; three grandchildren; close family friend, Shane "Eddie" Armentrout; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ryan Whitten, Michael Senters, Joshua Koontz, Chris Dempsey, Matthew Shimasaki, Jacob Senters.
