It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gordon George Simmons Jr., a beloved father, brother, son, and friend. Born on Monday, December 23rd, 1968, in Fulton, New York, Gordon passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at the age of 57.
Gordon was a dedicated laborer at Northland Filters in Oswego, NY, where he contributed tirelessly and was respected by his colleagues. His love for the outdoors was paramount; he found joy in camping and cherished being amidst nature. Gordon deeply valued spending quality time with his family, creating memories they will hold close forever.
He is survived by his loving family, including his mother, Mary C. Seaton of Fulton, NY; and his children, Angel M. Simmons, Gordon G. Simmons III, and Jacob A. Simmons, of Altmar, NY, along with Randi C. Scheirer of Oswego, NY, and Tiffani L. Coulter of South Carolina. Gordon was a proud grandfather, leaving behind six grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. His cherished sisters, Carrie Simmons, of Fulton, NY, Leeanna (Ken) Cronk and Grace M. Kellogg, will dearly miss his presence, along with several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Gordon George Simmons Sr., whose memory lived on in him.
As per Gordon’s wishes there will be no services. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all those who knew him. Those wishing to leave a special message for Gordon’s family may do so by signing the guestbook.
