My first week on the job with Liberty. I get called into Don's office to talk about Crane safety. He asked if I was up on this and I told him, yes. They're a member of the Heron family....He busted out laughing. I will never forget listening to him laugh in his office when speaking with clients. A great man and the best salesman I have known. Smooth sailing Don!!!

Dear Kay and family.I also sorry to hear of Don's passing. You have my most sincere condolence. As the claims manager for Liberty I worked with Don for 20 plus years. He was by far the most successful sales manager for the Norfolk office. Joe polasko

Dearest Kay and family, I am so sorry for your loss. What I know most about Don is how much he loved and cherished you and his family. The wonderful pictures that Amy has shared tells that story especially. But what I want to tell is something you wrote about Don back when you were Teacher of the Year 1997 (at least I think that's when I heard about it). It's how he once spelled out " I Love You" when he cut the grass. So sweet and funny! I will never forget that!
I can't even imagine how you all are feeling, but please know that there are many, many people that care. Love always, Debbie Baxter
