Mr. Gordon Price Utz Jr.

Gordon Price Utz, Jr., born on the 28th of November 1946, in Goose Creek, Texas, died peacefully on Saturday the 30th of November 2013. Utz is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Staner Utz, father Gordon Price Utz Sr., sister Jimmie Richardson. He is survived by his adopted son's David Higgins & wife Hailey, Michael Lyon & wife Robin, 3 grandchildren Winifred, Michael and Danielle, Niece Brenda Olivio & husband John, great niece's and nephew's John Lambert, Chase Lambert, Kailey Wright, Jessica Crocker, Kassey Wright, Kandace Wright, Krissa Wright and Michael Dodson. Mr. Utz was a legendary educator who taught American History at Stratford High School for 32 years. He worked closely with the football program and video crew, mentoring countless students both on and off the field. Utz was also an author of college textbooks, collaborating with other educators from across the United States and spending many summers with them grading the AP exams. Mr. Utz will be missed by many and beloved by us all. Services will be held at 5pm on the 12th of December, 2013 at Memorial Drive Methodist Church, The Well located at 13186 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079.
