Grace Adduci, born September 25, 1925 in Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on February 18, 1925 at her home in Addolorata Villa in Wheeling, IL.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Rose Adduci, sister, Josephine Adduci and brother, Nicholas Adduci. Grace was the fond aunt of Pam (Dave) Daniels and Mary Beth (Matt Weldon) Adduci, and the very special great aunt of David Nicholas (Christine) Daniels, Maggie Daniels (Nick) Dankler, Jack Nicholas Weldon and Henry William Weldon. She was the great, great aunt of Eleanor Grace Dankler and William Nicholas Dankler.
Grace's extended family and friends were far too many to mention. From her early days in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood, she made lifelong friends that she kept in touch with until she passed. She loved spending time with friends and family and loved cooking for both. She was also the family historian, sharing detailed memories up until her death.
Grace also had a long and satisfying career as an executive secretary at International Harvester until her retirement. When she wasn't working or helping around the house, Grace loved to travel, golf, bowl and later in life took an interest in art, creating many paintings for family and friends. She was a lifelong Cubs fan and loved celebrating their World Series win.
A celebration of her close to 100 years will be held on March 15 at 11:00am in the main chapel at Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL 60090, where she spent her final years. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to Addolorata Villa. For info 708-481-9230 or [email protected].
