Grace Mary Barnella

Grace Mary Barnella, age 86 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, December 4, 2025 at the Brookwood AFC. She was born on July 9, 1939 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Joseph and Francis (Schiattone) Barnella. Grace lived a simple life, residing in Bay City all of her life. She spent many years employed at Do-All, Inc. – where she worked diligently completing a variety of tasks. Grace, along with her Do-All family were involved in actives like bowling and basketball and she enjoyed playing BINGO.
Surviving family include her siblings, Patti Scharich, Marilyn (Al) Hood and Joseph Barnella Jr. as well as 10 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews and her Brookwood family. Grace was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Barnella Sr.; mother, Francis Callow; brother, John Barnella; brother-in-law, Ken Scharich; sister-in-law, Linda Barnella; a niece, Annie Barnella and nephew, Michael Hartley.
The family will greet visitors on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
