Grace Norma Nelson Bronson passed away in the morning of November 4, 2024, at the Monument Health Group Hospice, Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born on 5 January 1928, in Mink Creek, Idaho to Wilford and Margaret Jewett Nelson. She was one of seven children. One of her siblings, Vern Nelson, now lives in Utah. Her other siblings, Quentin, Ruby, Wanda, Kyle and Ruth preceded her in death.
Grace leaves behind three sons, Raymond Paul Bronson, Randy N Bronson (Melanee) and Denton Henry Bronson. Also, nine grandchildren, Jessica, Casey, Joshlyn, Brandon, Laura, Darrin, Kurtis, Michelle and Natalie; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was raised on a farm in Mink Creek, Idaho and loved being with her father, Wilford, as he worked on the farm raising cattle. When she was in her last year of high school, Grace lived in Preston and took care of her grandmother, Hannah Monson Nelson living with her until Hanna passed on. While in Preston, she met and quickly married Paul Henry Bronson. He passed away on October 22, 1971, leaving Grace a widow for over 50 years.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Grace loved gardening, traveling, getting her hair done for visits with her kids and grandkids. For the last two years, she lived with and was cared for by her son Raymond.
She retired as a civil service employee at the age of 62 years from Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Grace will be remembered for her ability to overcome adversity.
Her love for family and caring nature will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
