Grace E. Bukowski

Londonderry: Grace E. (Fairbrother) Bukowski, 83, of Londonderry, and a former fifty-year resident of Newton, NH, died suddenly but peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Grace was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Susanna (McGonagle) Fairbrother. She attended St. James Grammar School and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1960. As a young woman, Grace was employed at Western Electric Company. In later years while raising her sons, she worked as a substitute teacher at Sanborn Regional Memorial School in Newton and before retiring, Grace worked in the kitchen at Timberlane Regional Middle School.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, with a kind heart and a winning smile, Grace was devoted to her parish of Saint Luke the Evangelist at Mary, Mother of the Church in Newton, where she volunteered as a sacristan and helped to run the Parish Christmas Fair for many years. More recently she attended Saint Matthew's Church in Windham. Grace participated in Haverhill bowling leagues for sixty-two years and was active in her sons' town sports leagues volunteering as a score keeper and assistant coach for the Newton Little League. An avid Red Sox fan, Grace and her husband and sons traveled every year to enjoy and show support at the team's away games.

Predeceased in 2005 by her husband, Frank J. Bukowski, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael F. and Jennifer Bukowski of Sanbornville, NH, and Mark J. Bukowski of Nashua, NH, Angela Bukowski of Merrimack, NH, three grandsons, Jackson, Noah and Henry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Grace's calling hours to be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 12 Amesbury Road, Newton, NH.
