Grace M. Carello

Grace M. (Walsh) Carello, 86, previously of Worcester, passed away June 14, 2025. Born in Boston, MA on January 30, 1939, she was the daughter of John P. and Mercedes (Dumont) Walsh. Grace grew up in eastern MA before living in Rhode Island and then moving back to Worcester. For the past few years, she has resided in Belchertown at Christopher Heights. Grace enjoyed playing Bingo and dominos along with fishing. In her early years, she enjoyed couples roller skating and hair dressing. Later, she was proud to be on of the first female welders at Electric Boat, then went on as a machinist at Jamesbury in Worcester. Grace was predeceased by her former husband, Russell as well as her sister, Jane Lambert, and nephews, Gerald D. Lambert and Lawrence Donald Lambert, Jr. Her love will forever remain with her children, Sandra Atwood, Diane Carello, John Newcomb (Robin), Carrie-Jean Carello Fowler, Russell Carello as well as 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews, Robin and David Geggatt, Terri Lambert, Laura and Rob Robinson also survive her. A special thank you to Brian Lagrant at Ilyrian Gardens in Worcester for his care and helping hands to Grace during her time there. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 30 at 11am at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Falmouth. Please meet directly at the cemetery.
