Grace Farley Obituary

Published by Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home on Aug. 17, 2019.

Grace passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019. Grace graduated from The Katherine Gibbs School in the 1940's and was the Executive Assistant to the president of E. Collier Publishing Company in New York. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday August 20th at St. Michael's Church, 40 Alden Street, Cranford NJ. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery Westfield. Funeral Mass at the St. Michael's RC Church at 9:30 AM on August 20, 2019. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Westfield Service League , 114 Elmer Street Westfield NJ 07091 or to the Women's Association for Morristown Medical Center , 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07962-1956.

I am so sorry!! I have been sending Grace Christmas cards for many years & just saw this obituary. I worked with Grace at Bristol Meyers - she was an amazing woman!!! She was always very kind to me and her name Grace was perfect for her - she always did everything with Grace. I learned many wonderful lifelong lessons from her outstanding examples!!
She and her whole family are in my prayers!!

My memory of Grace is so vivid. After Jerry's death, I asked Gail if I could pick up anyone at the airport and she asked if I could pick up her mother. I then asked what does your mother look like. Gail said, "She looks like people used to look when they traveled by plane." Having grown up during this time and always wearing a suit, stockings and heels, I knew exactly what Gail meant. In a crowd of people in running suits, yoga pants, t-shirts with all kinds of sayings, etc., I saw an elegantly dressed woman gliding through the crowd and knew exactly who she was. I wish I had had the chance to know her better. She seemed like a delightful person. I know you all will miss her terribly. She must have been so proud of all her daughters. God Bless.
