Grace E. Heaney, 104, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Mountain Valley Manor in Kingston. She was born on June 23, 1920, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Aliton) Elmendorf. She was married to the late Edward Heaney who passed away on June 21, 2007. Grace was a member of the Fair Street Reformed Church. She always loved doing yard work and having a garden.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Heaney of Esopus, her grandson, Sean Heaney of Esopus, and her granddaughters, Laura Maloney of California, and Debra Smith of Washington. In addition to her husband and parents, Grace is predeceased by her daughter, Lyn DePaola. The family would like to especially thank the staff of Mountain Valley Manor for all the care, love, and respect that they showed her all of these years. They were like family to her.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday March 3, 2025 from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will take place at 11am with the burial following in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Fair Street Reformed Church, 209 Fair St., Kingston, NY 12401 (in the memo line please write: “Grace”).
