Susan Bodenweber Coddington Lyons, 79, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at home. She was born on April 29, 1946, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late William Bodenweber, Sr. and Jean (Sherman) Bodenweber. Susan was married to the late Peter Lyons, they wed on September 27, 1975. Peter passed away on June 3, 2001.
She is a graduate of St. Ursula Academy in Kingston and later worked for Sears in Kingston, IBM in both Kingston and Poughkeepsie, and the YMCA in Kingston. She enjoyed water and snow skiing as well as tending to her garden and flowers. She especially loved vacations with her family at the New Jersey shore.
Susan is survived by her children, Melissa Coddington, Robert Cole Coddington and his wife Nancy, and Dean Lyons and his wife Victoria of Charlotte, NC, her grandchildren, Tiffany, Angelina, and Travis, her great grandchildren, Kristopher, Karina, Gavin, Kahlani, and Alaina, her sister, Dawn Michlewski, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother William K. Bodenweber, Jr., and her brother-in-law, Rudy Michlewski.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 467 Delaware Ave., Kingston, NY 12401. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial contributions in Susan’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org A tribute for Susan may be found at www.KeyserFuneralService.com, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.
