Grace Lillian Hollowell, affectionately known by all as Grace, lived a vibrant life that was as spirited and joyful as a winning bingo card. Born on April 10, 1939, in the bustling city of Baltimore, Maryland, Grace brought light and laughter into the world. Her journey on earth came to a peaceful close on August 24, 2025, in the warmth of Austin, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life well-lived.

Grace's story is one of love, laughter, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Her infectious humor and loving nature were the cornerstones of a life that inspired all who knew her. She shared a beautiful marriage with her late husband, George Washington Hollowell, and together they created a legacy of love that continued to grow through their daughters, Debra Grace, the late Janet Lynn, Alice Lois, and Nancy Jean, as well as their nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In every chapter of her life, Grace was the embodiment of joy. Her passion for the simple pleasures, like playing bingo and the excitement of penny and nickel slot machines at the casinos, was a testament to her belief in embracing every moment. Her laughter was a melody that stayed with you, and her spirit was as bright and captivating as the jackpot lights.

Grace's life was a masterclass in positivity. She taught us that life is not just about the cards you're dealt, but how you play them. She approached each day with a spirited gusto, finding humor in the everyday and love in every encounter. Her legacy is not just in the smiles she created but in the resilience and positivity she modeled.

To describe Grace as funny, loving, and spirited is to capture just a glimpse of the profound impact she had on her family and community. She was a beacon of light, guiding us through challenges with a smile and an unwavering belief in the good of each day. Her laughter was the soundtrack to countless cherished moments, and her love was the foundation on which her family built their lives.

As we celebrate the life of Grace Lillian Hollowell, let us remember the lessons she imparted through her example. Let us carry forward her legacy of joy, her unshakable positivity, and her loving spirit. Grace's journey through life was a reminder that every day is a gift, every moment an opportunity to make a positive impact, and every interaction a chance to spread love.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the essence of Grace will forever dance in the hearts of those she touched. Her story continues in the laughter of her family, the resilience of her loved ones, and the countless lives she inspired. Grace Lillian Hollowell may have concluded her earthly chapter, but her spirit remains a powerful and enduring force, motivating us all to live with a little more humor, a lot more love, and an endless supply of spirited grace.
