Mrs. Grace Lamb Ford, age 84, of Smyrna, TN passed away September 18, 2023, in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in Marshall County, TN, and was a daughter of the late James Scott Lamb and Sarah Alice Wilson Lamb. Mrs. Grace was of the Methodist faith and later worshipped in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was retired from clerical work. Mrs. Grace was a member of the Class of 1957 at Forrest High School where she was the Valedictorian and voted Most Intellectual. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Lester Ford, and siblings, William Lamb, Sarah Lamb Wiley, Horace Lamb, and James Lamb.
Mrs. Grace loved traveling with her family. She enjoyed watching the races at the Nashville Speedway. She had a passion for growing flowers, cooking for everyone, and watching movies and wrestling. Most of all, she loved her family.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her beloved, loyal, and loving son, Andy Ray of Smyrna, TN; sister, Margaret (Pete) Tucker of Eagleville, TN; brother, Ralph Lamb of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters-in-law, Martha (Richard) Thomas of Smyrna, TN, Annette Burns of Shelbyville, TN, Penny Dunaway of Unionville, TN; brother-in-law, Larry (Susan) Ray of Unionville, TN; former husband, Wayne Ray of Rockvale, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Guin officiating. Interment will follow at Eady Cemetery near Chapel Hill, TN.
