Grace Lunn Sansoucy (nee Spacie) age 105, died on September 9, 2023. She was born in DeKalb, IL to Thomas and Etta Spacie. Her husbands, Roy L. Lunn and William V. Sansoucy, as well as her daughter, Nancy Lunn Ernest, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Thomas Lunn (Mandy), and son-in-law and his wife, Donald Ernest (Mary Kaye), as well as her deeply loved grandchildren, Darcy Ernest Borelli, Michael Ernest, Samantha Ernest, Christopher Ernest, Matthew Lunn, Jessica Lunn and Stephen Lunn. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Grace graduated from Northern Illinois University and taught fourth grade at Browning Elementary School in Milwaukee for over thirty-five years. A Mequon resident since 1956, she spent summers in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Petticoat Lake. Grace lived a long, wonderful and inspiring life; and was rooting for the Milwaukee Brewers right to the very end.
The family appreciated the friendship of Tina Engel & Lisa Teich, care and service at Newcastle Place, Hospice care nurse Shelby and especially her Home Instead caretakers, Karen Taylor and Susan Backes.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM. Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Ozaukee Family Sharing, 1002 Overland Court, Grafton, Wisconsin 53024 or the Ozaukee Humane Society, 630 West Dekora Street Saukville, WI 53080. Please write Grace's name on the memo line.
