Throughout her years, Grace found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether fishing in the tranquility of nature, nurturing her garden's blooms, or penning heartfelt poetry and songs that stirred the soul. Her creative spirit shone brightly, weaving tales through her words and sharing them with the world through her works.
As a homemaker, Grace's home in Hot Springs, AR, was a sanctuary filled with love and laughter, where cards were shuffled, and memories were made. Her love for the water brought tranquility and joy, the waves echoing the rhythm of her beautiful life.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, late husband of 30 years Aldon Summit, brothers, Lenard Hines, Ted Hines and sister-in-law Joy, Charles Hines, William Hines, Arvel Hines and Luke Hines; sister, Marie Kranich, and Carmen Hines, granddaughters, Kelly Thompson Fike and Amber Nichols; two great grandchildren, Matthew Fike and Thatcher McGrew.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (Juanita) Utt of Hot Springs, Gary (Gwen) Thompson of Hot Springs; daughters, Brenda Jo Avant of Hot Springs, Sharon Thompson Mitchell of Sheridan; stepchildren, Theron (Lynne) Summit of Hot Springs, Sharon Lee (Larry) Dimler of Sheridan, and Charlotte (Eddie) O'Steen of Sheridan; grandchildren, Bethany Mitchell (Dylan) Woodruff of Gans, OK. Kaitlin Mitchell (Steven) Hutter of Benton, AR. Lindsey Mitchell (Wheeler) Jones of Texarkana, AR. Maliah (Brian) Kelley of Burleson, TX. Kristen (Jonathan) McGrew of Little Rock, AR. Charles Lee Utt of Hot Springs, AR. Sean (Theresa) Utt of Hot Springs, AR. Freddie (Elena) Utt of Hot Springs, AR. Lori McLean of Sheridan, AR. Connie McLean (Mike) Paul of Sheridan AR. Natasha Summit of FL. Tiffany Utt O'Neal, Tara Utt Garces from South Carolina, and Fred (Candy) Utt of Oklahoma; Sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hines of FL. Brother-in-law, Billy Ray Summit of Sheridan, AR. Numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren with one on the way.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Nursing Staff at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab.
Burial will follow at Lone Valley Cemetery in Sims, AR.
