Graciela Gutierrez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Service on Sep. 4, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Graciela M. Gutierrez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in Laredo, Texas, at the age of 74. She was born on October 29, 1950 in San Ygnacio, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andres Gutierrez and Olivia Cuellar Gutierrez; her brother Omar (Balvina) Gutierrez; her sister Maria Isabel (Oscar) Madrigal; her sisters-in-law Antonia (Felipe) Mendoza and Maria (Jesus) Vasquez; and her nephew Raul (Esmeralda) Chavez, Jr.

Graciela was a woman of grace, respect, and boundless love. She was always respectful, kindhearted, and full of compassion truly the sweetest soul. Her heart was as beautiful as her smile, and she carried herself with warmth that could comfort anyone. With her presence, she made others feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for. She loved unconditionally, gave generously, and taught by example the importance of kindness, humility, and family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Isidoro Gutierrez, Jr., with whom she built a lifetime of cherished memories. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Isidoro "Lolo" Gutierrez, III., and Nelissa "Nely" (Oscar) Gonzalez, who were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren Lisa Martinez, Ashely Gutierrez, Isidoro Gutierrez IV, Brandon Gutierrez, Laisha Mia Gonzalez, Rochelle Alexandra Gonzalez, and Natasha Chanel Gonzalez- and her five great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable happiness and lit up her world.

She is also survived by her siblings-in-law: Irma (Raul Chavez), Oscar (Cynthia) Gutierrez, and Sergio Gutierrez, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who adored her dearly.

To her family, Graciela was the heart of the home the one who listened without judgment, who gave advice filled with wisdom and tenderness, and who reminded everyone of the importance of love, respect, and unity. To her friends, she was a loyal companion, always ready with a kind word, a warm hug, or a helping hand.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that my mom's love will live on in the lessons she taught us, the memories she leaves behind, and the example of respect, kindness, and faith she set for us all. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family will be receiving guests on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. The chapel will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025 to depart at 10:30 am for a Funeral Mass at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
