Jose Antonio Gutierrez, born on September 28, 1956, in Nuevo Laredo, departed this life on August 29, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, whose genuine warmth touched the lives of many.
Jose was married to Edna Gutierrez for an enduring 47 years. His legacy continues through his children: Daniel, Jessica, and Brian; eleven beloved grandchildren and five cherished great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
His warm spirit will also be remembered by his siblings: Agustin, Maria, Berta Aricely, and Gloria. He was deeply loved by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends who were fortunate to know him.
Jose had a zest for life and cherished simple joys, including lottery scratch-offs, Mexican wrestling, sweet bread, and Coca-Cola. His passions and interests painted a picture of a man who enjoyed life’s little pleasures.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Griselda Gutierrez and siblings Rosa, Pedro, and Juan, who hold a special place in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jose's memory during the visitation on September 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Home, located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, leading to the graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
Jose Antonio Gutierrez will always be remembered for his loving nature, vibrant spirit, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those around him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
