Grady Edward "Eddie" Howell, born August 18, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas died on September 28, 2025 in Benton, Arkansas.
Eddie is survived by sons: Kenneth Howell (Jenny) and Franklin Nix (Jennifer); daughter-in-law, Melissa Nix; grandchildren: Blake Howell (Selina), Dollie Martinez, and Raymond Nix (Chelsey); great-grandchildren:Trey Nix, Nick Martinez, Dominic Hernandez, and Madelyn Nix; brother, Gary Howell (Donna); and many family members and friends who love Eddie and will miss him always.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Grady Elmer Howell; mother, Roena Reba Wright Howell; former wife, Carolyn Berryman; and son, Royce Gene Nix.
Eddie proudly served in the Air National Guard and saw active service when his unit was called up during the U.S.S. Pueblo incident. He was a Tool and Die/Machinist and retired from Advanced Machine Shop.
Eddie loved spending time with his family and friends. Eddie loved spending time outdoors fishing and bird watching. His passion was DJ-ing to the oldies, rock and roll, and country music.
Visitation and Sharing of Memories will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, October 9, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, in Benton. The military will bestow honors promptly at 6:00 PM.
