Grant,
Thanks for being kind to be the several times we met at TV Lounge. Your enthusiasm for Detroit and all of its electronic music artists & DJ´s will be sorely missed, and I know everyone else in this scene you´ve helped create and nurture feels the same. Know that what you´ve built will live far beyond any of us, and that we appreciate everything you´ve done for this city.

Rest easy.

I heard of your passing from Tony S this past Thursday. Last time we interacted was at Benihana´s around 2011-2012. I was on a dinner date with my mom and you were on one with (who I am assuming) your mother as well. We were just happy and smiling running into each other. I won´t forget that last interaction.

I remember one time in high school, we went into your VW Bus at the Canton High parking lot. You introduced me and someone else to snuff (snort-able tobacco), and just blasted music in the parking lot. That will stay with me forever.

We shared a class together, Mrs. G´s marketing class, and you showed me The Chemical Brother´s newest single at the time, "Push the Button". There was a flash game that we took turns playing on the computer during class. I was especially stoked because Q-Tip was featured on vocals. Whenever I hear that song, it reminds me of you.

We were crazy kids in HS. I´m grateful to have met you and become friends with you. I wish we kept in touch but it´s hard when you move states. Hindsight´s 20/20, I guess. I´ll miss you, Grant. You were charismatic, friendly and generous. A sweet soul. Rest In Peace, my dear friend. "My finger, is on the button."
