Grant Sigfred Johnson

Grant S. Johnson passed away suddenly on February 24th due to a heart that was simply too big. Grant was born on December 30, 1966, to Dale and Joyce Johnson. He grew up in Apple Valley and loved playing baseball, basketball, and football every chance he could. Grant was a talented athlete and made many lifelong friends both on the field and on the court.

Grant never thought he would find the love of his life until Tracie walked into his world. She became his other half, his soulmate, and his best friend-our mom. They were married on April 28, 1990, and will now spend eternity together.

They later welcomed the two lights of their lives, Jordan and Marissa. Jordan was his bud from day one and quickly shared Grant's love of sports. The two spent countless hours watching and talking sports over the years, always trying to outthink the other. Marissa was his little girl no matter her age, and he loved talking with her on the phone and hearing about her life. They truly were the light of his life, and he was incredibly proud of them both.

Grant is survived by his son, Jordan; his daughter, Marissa (Nels Tryggestad); and his furever companion, Bandit (Bandito), as well as brothers, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Johnson, and his mother, Joyce Johnson, and is now reunited in heaven with his soulmate, Tracie Johnson.

A Celebration of Life for Grant and Tracie will be held at Celts Pub in Farmington on March 29th from 2:00–5:00 p.m. A short program will be held at 3:00 p.m. to share stories and celebrate Grant.
