Marschall, Marlys Louise

Age 86, of Rosemount, passed away February 19, 2026.

Marlys is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Vernon and Louise Herberg, and brother, Roger Herberg.

Marlys and John raised their nine children in Farmington and were longtime members of the Church of St. Michael. Marlys was a gifted cook and baker and served as a head cook for ISD 192 until her retirement. She loved summers at the cabin, especially relaxing rides on the pontoon. This past year, Marlys was blessed with daily visits from family and enjoyed playing countless games of cribbage.

Marlys is survived by her children, Jane (Bob) Boyer, Todd (Barb) Marschall, Judy (Scott) Ziemkowski, Paul (Dawn) Marschall, Joan Ahrendt, Anne (Mike) Guillou, Mary (Todd) Tollefson, Terry (Stephanie) Marschall, and Debbie Lyons; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Patty (Marvin) Alexander, brother, Doug (Colleen) Herberg, and brother, Michael (Nancy) Herberg; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W., Rosemount. Visitation will be held one hour before mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sharing and Caring Hands.
