Lyla, a joyful and bright child, passed away suddenly on April 1, 2025, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
Born on October 14, 2024 to Ryan and Lisa, Lyla was the ray of sunshine our family didn’t know we needed. We were blessed to see her roll over, give countless smiles and hear her perfect laugh. Brothers, Trey and Crew, loved to make her laugh by dancing, jumping and singing silly songs. They loved to hold her and play with her. Lyla spent many hours watching her big brother, Trey, playing hockey, always content. Crew loved snuggling his baby sister and playing with toys during tummy time. Lyla had the ‘scritchy scratchy’ baby hands and loved different textures, especially Dad’s beard. Lyla and her mom spent countless hours in the rocking chair, snuggled together. Lyla could often be found on the hip or front of Mom who couldn’t bear to put her down, just wanting to stay close. Lyla brought the family immense joy.
Lyla Joyce Marschall is survived by her parents, Ryan and Lisa, brothers, Trey and Crew, her maternal grandparents, David and Joyce Webb, her paternal grandparents, Terry and Sharon. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Though her time with us was far too short, Lyla’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. In the short time we had with her, she made each member of our family more patient, nurturing, and compassionate. We will cherish the smiles, laughter and joy brought to our family forever. May Lyla rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the love and support of family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Lyla’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at 10am. The visitation will begin at 9am.
