Lynn Marie Malisch (nee Wagner), age 77, of Waunakee passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. She was born on August 29, 1948, the daughter of Vincent and Florence (Schuster) Wagner. Lynn grew up on the family farm near Sun Prairie. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Malisch (Dick) on September 17, 1966, and went with him to Augsburg, Germany when he was drafted where their first son, Richard, was born. Upon their return to the United States, they lived briefly in Madison and then bought a home in Waunakee. During this time, they had two more children, Lauri and Brian. Lynn was a very proud and supportive mother and grandmother, always there when someone needed her. Eventually, they built their dream log home in Springfield where they lived for over 35 years. Here she enjoyed tending the yard, gardening, working in her flower beds, bird watching and taking care of the dogs and chickens.
Lynn is survived by her husband Richard (Dick) Malisch; her children Richard Malisch, Lauri (Ken) Stewart and Brian Malisch; her grandson Anthony; her siblings Rick (Cheryl) Wagner, Greg (Carol) Wagner, Barbara Wagner, Peter Wagner, Dave (Jodi) Wagner and Mary Wagner Wood. She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Florence Wagner.
There will be a celebration of life later this spring.
