Grant Lebahn Obituary

Grant Lebahn, 50, West Fargo, North Dakota passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Sanford Broadway surrounded by his family.
Grant Fredrick Lebahn was born on April 22, 1973, in Valley City, North Dakota, to Terry and Lenore (Frigaard) Lebahn. Grant, the oldest of three children, grew up on the family farm in rural Litchville, North Dakota, and attended Litchville High School. After high school, he enrolled at North Dakota State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. In 1996, Grant began his employment with Hensel Phelps Construction Company in Greeley, CO. Grant worked for Hensel Phelps for 22 years before retiring and starting Resource Gravity, a Construction Management Consulting Company. He continued consulting work in North Dakota and, in 2022, accepted his dream job as a Professor of Practice at NDSU within the Construction Management and Engineering Department.
In 1995, Grant married DaRahn (Miller). Soon after marriage, they moved to Colorado and were blessed with three boys: Berg, Tyce, and Trey. Grant taught and exemplified many values to his boys, including kindness, hard work, stability, resourcefulness, optimism, love, loyalty, and dependability. They will continue to carry his legacy as they build their careers and families.
Grant moved at a fast pace, whether it was learning to walk at seven months of age, reading, problem-solving, working and playing at the lake, mentoring young people, playing pinochle, golfing, and drinking morning coffee over a good conversation.
Grant is survived by his wife of 28 years, DaRahn, and their sons, Berg, Tyce, and Trey; his parents, brother Neil (Tricia) Lebahn; sister Julia (Darin) Anderson; nieces and nephews; special aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation: Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
Funeral: Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.
Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, in Litchville, ND, Spring 2024.

I was privileged to work with Grant when he was with Hensel Phelps and i was with a large Denver architectural firm. Grant was a true professional, and all around good person. My most sincere condolences to his family. I haven't seen Grant in years, but that does not diminish the sense of loss at his passing.

Grant was like a second son to me. He came to Colorado to pursue a career with Hansel Phelps and helped build many buildings in downtown Denver. He was loved by my Schull family and came to many family events. He will be missed more than I can say. He was honest, fair and forthright. I will always miss his laughter, smile and fun personality. He was so much fun to be around. He lit up every room he came into and was a friend to everyone. I was shocked and heartbroken when I heard the news. Me and my family were blessed with the time he was in our life. He will never be forgotten.
