Grant was born in Jonesboro on Feb. 14, 1996, to James and Monica Shelton. He graduated from Valley View High School in 2014. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
He graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in political science, while he also obtained his real estate license. Upon graduating, he returned to Jonesboro and joined the Coldwell Banker Village Communities and his father in the residential construction business.
He met his sweetheart, Adrianna, in high school and they married Sept. 25, 2021. He loved the Lord, his wife, family and dogs, Bella and Gigi, more than anything.
Grant was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Jonesboro Country Club and the RidgePointe Country Club. He had a true passion for the games of basketball and football and attended as many Memphis Grizzlies and Pittsburgh Steelers games as possible.
He was happiest when he was at the golf course with his buddies. He also enjoyed weekends spent at the lake with friends and family.
Grant had the biggest smile, the kindest heart and the most contagious laugh. He was known for his larger-than-life personality and cheerful mood that brightened any room that he walked into. He had a way of making everyone feel important and loved.
There are not enough words to describe the impact that he will continue to have on those that knew him. He was a devoted husband, son, brother and friend that will be missed by many.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Central Baptist Church. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, also at Central Baptist Church with the Revs. Murry Ray and Marty Spurlock officiating.
