Gray Betts, age 40, passed away on March 28, 2025. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Gray was born August 23, 1984, in Columbus, MS to Charlie Betts and Julia Boucher. Gray grew up on the family farm and graduated from Caledonia High School in 2003. From an early age, he found joy in the simple things—his family, his work, and a good laugh. As the owner of Betts Flooring Service, Gray took great pride in his craftsmanship and upheld a reputation for meticulous work and intricate projects.
But beyond his hard work, Gray was best known for his quick wit and ability to make people laugh. His signature blend of humor and sarcasm made every conversation more entertaining. He believed that life was meant to be enjoyed, and he made sure no one around him took things too seriously.
More than anything, Gray was a devoted family man, always putting family first. He and the love of his life, Katie, cherished every moment with their two children, often taking them on outdoor adventures across his beloved family land, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He was truly Jackson’s superhero and Charlie Kate’s knight in shining armor. Gray left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work.
Gray is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Betts-William and Lucy Wilson. Gray is survived by his father, Charlie Betts (Debbie) his mother, Julia Boucher, his wife Katie Chunn Betts, and their two children, Jackson and Charlie Kate. Also survived by his siblings, Jennifer Pridmore (Joey), Brandi Mitchell (Shawn), Toby Houde (Shannon), Jade Nelson (Bryan), AJ Verner (his brother from another mother) and his nine nieces and nephews: Dakota Allen, Peyton Pridmore, Tristan Mitchell, Brooks Mitchell, Navy Nelson, Alex Nelson, John Houde, Seamus Houde, and Mason Houde.
