Grayce Koethe

Grayce Ernestine Koethe, aged 88, peacefully passed away August 17, 2019 at Vancouver, Washington. Born December 27, 1930 at Fonde, Kentucky to Ernest C. and Grace C. Hill. Her father worked the coal mines until the family moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan when Grayce was 15. They then moved to Washington State where she graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart Gerald "Buzz" Koethe October 8, 1951. Their early married years were spent in Fairbanks. Alaska during Buzz;s service in the Air Force. Grayce was preceded in death by her husband Buzz in 2003, son David Koethe in 2015, and granddaughter Audrie K Carter in 2019. Grayce is survived by her daughters Vanessa Mayhew (Steve) Molalla, Oregon, Gayle Erspamer (Donald) La Center, Washington, and Sharon Carter Ridgefield, Washington.
