Grazia Molfese (Savino)
On September 23, 2024, Grazia Molfese passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Grazia was a devoted matriarch who adored her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, nonna and bisnonna. Born on November 23,1929 in Albano Di Lucania, Italy to the parents of Rocco Savino and Maria Civita. On February 1,1951 she married the love of her life, Rocco Molfese. Together they had six children Vito, Vittorio, Carmine, Mario, Guiseppe and Anna. Grazia and Rocco moved to the United States in 1970 with their five children in hopes of providing them with countless opportunities for a better life. Known for her vibrant sense of humor, she brought joy and laughter to every gathering, making unforgettable memories with her loved ones. Her strength was something that was admired by all who knew her. She was a master storyteller, sharing valuable life lessons and past experiences. Her love of cooking, dancing and being around friends and family will forever be missed. We will forever carry her memory and wisdom in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rocco; her parents, Rocco Savino and Maria Civita; her brother, Vito Savino; and her sons, Vito and Carmine Molfese. She leaves behind a legacy of love as a sister, mother, nonna, bisnonna, zia and friend. Loving mother of Victor (Maria), Mario (Karen), Giuseppe (Maria), and Anna (Frank) De Monte and daughter-in-law, Esther Molfese. Cherished nonna of Rocco (Cheri), Marc (Antoinette), Joncarlo (Dana), Stephanie, Rebecca, Joesph, Christina Molfese, Anna (Joesph) Jorgensen, Carmela (Patrick) Crotty, Bianca (Jacob) McLurkin, Graziella and Giovanni DeMonte. Loving bisnonna of 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Donata Guarino. Fond zia and friend to many. Her warmth, wit, wisdom and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Although, Grazia is no longer with us her memory will live on with us forever.
