Green Bailey Gross Jr.

Green Bailey Gross Jr., 77 of Titusville, Florida formally of Richmond, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born on December 8, 1947 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Green Bailey Gross Sr. and India Merritt Gross.

Green was a diesel mechanic for National Truck and Parts in New Paris for 30 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Vintage Wheels Car Club in Richmond.

He has a lifelong passion for racing car, especially late models at the dirt tracks. The roar of the engines, the thrill of competition and the community he found at the track brought him endless excitement and friendships. Alongside racing, he had a deep appreciation for antique cars and motorcycles. He was a devoted family man; he found great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and celebrating their accomplishments and simply being present in their lives. His family was the center of his world.

Green is survived by his children, Tommy (Valeria) Gross, Michael (Tanya) Milliron and Lisa (Mark) Turner; his grandchildren, Christopher Milliron, Austin Milliron, Zachary Milliron, Jacob Milliron, Emily Turner, Ariel Turner, Payten Gross and Emily Gross; many great grandchildren; his significant other, Debra Swearingen; his brothers, Hank Gross, Gary Gross and Bill Gross; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Green was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bud Gross; his sisters, Norma Turner and Carolyn Estep.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St., Liberty from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
