Janice Hamil Obituary

She was a member of the Liberty Church of the Nazarene.
She found great comfort and joy in reading her Bible. She also loved watching old westerns. Above all her greatest joy came from her family. She treasured her moments spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.
Janice is survived by her children, Kenny (Jo) Martin, JoAnn (David) Smith, Larry Hunter, Daniel Hunter and Jeffrey Hunter; 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; her brothers, Donnie Stanton and Mike Stanton; her sister, Gloria Bayman; and many friends and extended family members.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter Martin; her second husband, Lawrence Hunter; her late husband, Bill Hamil; her siblings, Gayle Stanton, Harold "Bud" Stanton, Billy Stanton, Shirley Stanton and Karen Beard; and a great grandson, Owen Hunter.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St., Liberty. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Price officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Christian Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Janice to Liberty Church of the Nazarene; those may be made at the funeral home or sent to 220 W. High St., Liberty, IN 47353.
