John Milton McClure, 92, of Liberty passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born on January 8,1934, to Milton McClure and Mary Pauline LaFuze McClure in Union County, Indiana.

John was a 1952 Graduate of Kitchell High School. After graduating he enlisted into the United States Army in 1954, he served for 2 years.

He then moved back to Union County and began working on the farm. John also worked at Rodefelds and Napa and could be found eating breakfast or lunch at the Liar's Table at the Liberty Restaurant.

You could often find John tinkering around on the farm. He was known for repurposing things. John enjoyed being a father and grandfather, loved taking care of the wildlife in his yard and spending time with his dogs.

John is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Doug) Campbell; his grandchildren, Hannah (Nathan) Treadway and Drew Campbell; his great grandchildren, Jameson Treadway and Emmitt Treadway; his sister, Marilyn (Lowell) Bok; his niece, Sharon (Brian) Hodges; nieces and nephew, Grace, Leah, and Nate Hodges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Caldwell, and a niece, Marlisa Bok.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St. Liberty, Indiana 47353. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery.
