GREG A. BAUGHMAN, 43, died Sunday, December 1, 2024 in Aiken.
A native of Aiken County, Greg was a son of the late Dale and Donna Franklin Baughman. He is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a BA in Business and worked as a supervisor at UPS. MSgt Baughman was a Drilling Reservist in the Marine Corps Combat Logistics Regiment 45 – 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marietta, GA where he was a member of the Shooting Team. A member of the Reserves for 24 years, MSgt Baughman was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He also served in the Iraq war and on peace keeping missions in Central and South America.
Survivors include his brother, Roger Baughman (Jenn), Columbia; uncles, Billy Franklin (Betty), North Augusta, Russell Fulmer, New Holland; Aunt, Bonnie Franklin, Gilbert; niece, Rayelynn Baughman and a number of cousins.
The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon, March 9th at 2 o’clock at Cedar Creek Church with his lifelong friend, The Rev. Scottie Redd officiating. Private interment will be in New Holland Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Toys for Tots (toysfortots.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
