Tate Barlow Molony, age 25, of Aiken, SC, passed away on February 3, 2026. A lifelong resident of Aiken, Tate was the son of Billy Molony and Vanessa Sterling. He was known for his kind spirit and big heart, cherishing his family and friends.
Tate was an avid supporter of Clemson sports, a passion that resonated throughout his life and was shared with many around him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Vanessa and Scott Sterling of Evans, GA; his father, Billy Molony of Aiken; his maternal grandmother, Boo Molony of Aiken; his girlfriend, Haley Calhoun of Aiken; as well as his step-brother, Austin Sterling of North Augusta, SC; step-sister, Kendra Sterling of Trenton, SC; aunt, Mary Beth Fields (Todd) of Aiken; uncle, Tommy Molony (Kristen) of Macon, GA; cousins, Patrick and Will Fields; and great-aunt, Ginny Asbra of Aiken. Preceding Tate in death is his paternal grandfather, Billy Molony.
A private Funeral Liturgy will be held in honor of Tate's memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to be made to the Aiken County Clemson Club, PO Box 5129, Aiken, SC 29804.
