Greg Cater Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lawry Brothers Funeral Home - Fairfield on May 21, 2025.
Greg Bruce Cater took his final Earthly journey with the clowns to the left of him and jokers to the right on April 13, 2025. He was born to be wild in Augusta, Maine on August 18, 1965 and lived most of his life in and around this area.
He was a free bird of a spirit and had a "life's a journey not a destination" attitude that created a man who was easily loved, simple in nature, dream until your dreams come true personality, and a heartbreaker of many forms.
He got his motor running, headed out on the highway while looking for adventure one last time leaving behind a daughter Autum Cater, her husband Robert Hood, and their 3 children Ashton, Rochell, and Lara; a son Shane Cater, his wife Brianne Cater, and their 3 children Jasmine, Annabell, and Michael; his mother Nancy Young; his siblings Mark Cater, Scott Cater and his wife Cecilia, and Debbie Paradise and her husband Richard; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and many others. He was predeceased by his father Bruce Cater, and his stepfather Gerald Young.
Excuse him while he kisses the sky and climbs the stairway to heaven to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. He is finally at peace.
Celebration of Life will be held in Augusta at his son's home on July 19th. Time TBD. We will be sending out cards with all of the details, as well as sharing the details on Facebook. Please share as many photos and memories on here that you can for a commemorative slideshow for everyone to view at the Celebration of Life. We appreciate any and all assistance given thus far and in the future. We thank you for reaching out to the family during these hard times.
