A son of the late Wade Holbrooks and Mabel Shirley Holbrooks, he was born December 17, 1961, in Stephens County, Georgia where he had lived all his life. He was a truck driver and later a self-employed carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, playing golf and playing his guitar. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Holbrooks.
Survivors include his children, Allen Gilmer of Toccoa, Nicole Young of Toccoa and Hannah Holbrooks of Gillsville; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Joy (Ronnie) Rogers and Jeanne Holbrooks both of Toccoa; brothers, Jimmy (Alisa) Holbrooks and Brian (Mandy) Holbrooks both of Toccoa.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
To honor his wishes, he will be cremated.
Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Greg Allen Holbrooks.
