Gregory Allen Packard, son of Gerald LeRoy and Irene Victoria (Johnson) Packard was born on May 22, 1945 at Roswell, NM. He attended school at Boone County District 13 until the 8th grade. Greg graduated from Albion High School in 1963. Following school he worked in Omaha on a construction crew and lived with friends.
On October 24, 1964 Greg was united in marriage to Sherry Flanagan. To this union two children, Vicki Lynn and Mark Allen were born. The couple lived in Albion where Greg started out working for his father-in-law's hay grinding business and later for Norco Feed. The majority of his career was in car sales. He spent many years working for Sullivan Motors in Albion and later Clements Chevrolet & Norfolk GM Auto in Norfolk. The couple later divorced.
Greg married Donna Luettel Belgum on July 27, 1990. With this marriage he was blessed with Donna's three sons: Shane, Ryan, and Brett, whom he loved as his own. The couple lived in Albion where Greg continued his car sales career. Greg and Donna spent their life together enjoying spending time with friends and family, going on Kayton trips, gardening & lawn work and later playing with their dog Buster. Donna passed away on May 18, 2008.
Greg loved to play golf and was very active in the Albion Country Club, where he served on the board and later managed the bar. Greg was a member of AA for many years and sponsored many others who benefited from the organization. He loved old cars and going to car shows and could tell you the year and make of any car he saw. He was also a huge Dale Earnhart fan and has a large collection of memorabilia. Greg had an amazing memory. He could tell you dates of events, who married who, or who was related to whom. He always had lots of stories and jokes he loved to share. Greg had many friends, living in Albion most of his life, he seemed to know where his friends had ended up and enjoyed staying in touch. His dad taught him to play cribbage and he loved to continue that tradition with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he cherished with all of his heart.
