Gregg Michael Rapp

Gregg Michael Rapp, age 64, passed away suddenly at home in Leander, Texas on January 6, 2026. Born November 14, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Francis J. and Myrna J. (Newton) Rapp, Gregg attended North Farmington High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and was honorably discharged after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended Johnson and Wales College of Culinary Arts and worked several years as an executive chef in restaurants on the east coast.

Gregg is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Mark R. Rapp. He is survived by his brother, Douglas C. (Sandra) Rapp and his stepchildren he helped raise.

Gregg was generous to a fault, always spending on others before himself. In his memory, please consider a kind compliment to a chef and a generous tip to a server at your favorite restaurant.
