In Loving Memory of Gregorio Subido Villalon

Gregorio Subido Villalon, 87, of Schaumburg, Illinois, entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on March 8, 1938, in Cotabato, Mindanao Philippines, to Teofilo Villalon and Illuminada Subido Villalon, Greg lived a life marked by faith, integrity, and devotion to family. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and began his professional career in the Philippines as a Medical Representative. After moving to the United States, he served faithfully as a Mental Health Associate at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for 26 years, where he was known for his compassion and steady presence.

Greg's life was deeply rooted in his faith in Jesus Christ. He actively served in the Wednesday Senior Citizens Program at Willow Creek Community Church and occasionally volunteered at Kingdom City Church, particularly during the Generation Ladies Luncheon. His commitment to serving extended beyond the United States; he helped financially build two churches in the Philippines and supported God's Camp, a ministry serving underprivileged children.

In his personal time, Greg enjoyed walking, jogging, and reading. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nelia Pagsanjan Villalon; his children George Villalon (Olivia Nimfa Villalon), Maria Lourdes Dela Cruz (Marlon Dela Cruz), and Bernadette Macavinta (Vincent Raim Macavinta); and his cherished grandchildren Axl Bryan Aaron Villalon, Jan Christian Villalon, Jan Louise Villalon, Jan Andre Villalon, Maria Kristin De Leon (Joshua De Leon), Marc Justin Dela Cruz, and Emmanuel Macavinta. He is also survived by his brother, Nicasio Villalon (Claudia Algabre Villalon). He was preceded in death by his brothers Manuel Subido Villalon (Rosalia Villalon) and Generoso Subido Villalon (Patria Villalon) and sisters, Ella Villalon Hidalgo (Roman Hidalgo) and Filipina Villalon Woo (Gideon Woo).

Greg will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, strong faith, and enduring love for his family. His life leaves a legacy of service, generosity, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
